How to measure a book for a book protector

It is important to measure the height of your book as accurately as possible. Bear in mind that it will be OK for your book protector to be slightly bigger than the height of your book (up to 4mm), but if it is even slightly too small, it will not fit onto your book at all.

For paperback books, choose a book protector that is the same height as your book or up to 4mm larger.    

For hardback books, add 2 mm to the measured height of your book (to account for the thickness of the hardback covers) and then choose a book protector that is the same height as this figure or up to 4mm larger.

When measuring the total width, accuracy is not so critical because the book protectors are adjustable in this direction. Provided that the total width of your book does not exceed the figure stated for the book protector, you can be sure that it will fit correctly.
