This book contains Woodfield Publishing’s second collection of humorous stories and cartoons contributed by former RAF Policemen – known as ‘Snowdrops’ to the wider RAF community because of their white headgear.
In the line of duty, Snowdrops witness all manner of bizarre incidents and encounter oddball military characters in all corners of the world. They also enjoy playing pranks on one another to relieve the more boring aspects of their work. As a result, they have many amusing stories to tell.
Our second collection of such tales has now been compiled and served up in book form by Stephen R Davies, who served in the RAF Police for 25 years and has also written several somewhat more serious books on the history of the RAF Police, which Woodfield have published also.
Just like its predecessor, the tone of this book is unashamedly light-hearted and will soon have its readers laughing aloud at the antics of RAF Police personnel over the years. Any former snowdrop, RAF airman or airwoman ~ or indeed anyone who has served in the armed forces in any capacity ~ will be sure to find plenty to laugh about and may well recognise themselves in the situations described!
